The twelve apostles were trolls.
Really. When we read the bible, we discover that before the Pentecost, they were not at all El Greco's courageous, glassy-eyed men, with a tinge of both sorrow and joy on their faces. They were common people like us, who bickered, and lost their temper and cowered at the thought of losing their lives.
Now imagine: 12 commoners from a small province of the Roman empire, whose leader died like a criminal, and who themselves were persecuted and killed -except for John- managed to spread Christianity to 30% of the world's current population.
Talk about Divinely inspired!
