I just heard someone singing and playing "While We're Young" by One Direction on the guitar. Then I heard the lyrics for the first time (yeah, I know nothing about pop culture.)

is ridiculous.

The persona wants to have sex with someone he hardly knows, which obviously means he's lusting over her. But he still has to say, let's pretend it's love? Is he trying to make good what he wants to do? Because that is so wimpy. If you feel it's wrong than either don't do it or sin like a man. Or is he trying to convince the girl? One would have to be a total bimbo to fall for, "Hey, I know we just met and all, but do you wanna have sex. I'm totally lusting over you but if you want I can pretend I'm really in love with you."

But what bothers me even more is that people actually listen to stuff like this and are entertained by it. They sing the lyrics but they don't think about what it actually means. Absolutely degrading.
